We’ve talked a lot this year about the flowers in the desert, but about 80 miles west, right on the coast, are the Carlsbad Flower Fields, acreage preserved and still cultivated with flowers, as it has been for decades.
Through May 14, the fields, growing Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, are holding spring events.
