There’s 140,000 people in San Diego for the Comic-Con this weekend; I should know, I live two blocks from the Convention Center and feel like I am living inside the hall.
Many make the trip south from Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world. For those of you heading home up Interstate 5, consider taking the old Coast Highway. Much of this, the original route from San Diego to Los Angeles, is right on the sand. Traffic will probably be horrible on 5 all the way back and taking what was once U.S. 101 won’t be any faster.
Still, it’s probably a much more pleasant drive along the beach and through the beach communities. For more on the coast route, check out my Quintessential California book on Amazon Kindle for just $2.99.
