I’ve been posting videos to YouTube since nearly the dawn of time (2006!). Technology has improved, so I’m digging out my original files and reposting. Less pixelating, the audio seems to be synched all the time, good stuff.

If you’re curious, here are two examples of a video shot back in 2006 of the Beachin’ 101 cruise up and down old U.S. 101 in northern San Diego County:

Old: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgCOtPnELAs

New: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZnMUlk8s7s

Quite a difference in quality.

The problem is that YouTube doesn’t allow a video to be replaced, just posted. So, I have couple of videos that are popular in a small way (30k+ views) and have lots of interesting comments. If I repost the video and delete the old one, these go away. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but stay tuned.
