Some great vistas of San Diego in the mid-1960s from this Chevrolet film that promotes the Chevy Nova compact and even gets in a dig of the rival Ford Falcon.

Our featured photo is of the Interstate 5/Highway 94 interchange, then only a couple of years old. The fleet of Novas is also seen at the the old Yellow Cab garage downtown, southbound on then-U.S. 395 in Balboa Park, along the bay and beach.

Missing? Maybe the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge? It wasn’t built yet.

Thanks to the Vintage San Diego Facebook page, which has a ton of old photos of our city. This video is from the YouTube channel.
