For the back-to-work and back-to-school Monday, here’s a pretty picture from out on Couser Canyon Road, the location for the Crazy Couser book on Amazon Kindle.

As the road descends from the Lilac hills, it clings to the hillside and overlooks the western edge of Pauma Valley and the Pala Indian Reservation. It’s an area that’s the heart of San Diego County’s agricultural lands.

The photo here was taken in the winter, with green hills; today’s view would be a bit brown after a summer (as usual) without rain. It’s a great place for a San Diego day trip, whatever your ride, but best for a sports car or bike.
