One of the few places I’ve seen where a golf course crosses a busy public road is Rancho Santa Fe, where this photo was taken.

This historic course, opened in 1929, was the site of Bing Crosby’s “clambake” golf tournament from 1937-42 (now the big pro-am up north at Pebble Beach).

I’m not a golfer, but enjoy driving by the beautiful course. My drive through Rancho Santa Fe in Joyrides Around San Diego will show you the way.
