When I was on KCBQ radio with Dave Stall on Sunday, his eyes started to get wide when I started talking about Couser Canyon Road, which parallels Interstate 15 for awhile north of Escondido.

It’s the Crazy Couser drive in my Amazon Kindle book of the same name and Chapter 7 in Joyrides Around San Diego, the just-released print book of 10 drives around San Diego.

What’s so great about this route is not only the twists and turns of Couser Canyon Road, but the routes we take to get there. Not sure about farms in San Diego County? Beautiful meadows? Hidden gems? This is the road.

I start out at the Deer Park Winery and Auto Museum, which isn’t open on Tuesdays (only open Friday-Sunday), but the video below will give you an idea of what’s there.

If you’re out and about this #traveltuesday, I recommend Crazy Couser.
