Proposed state park access restrictions that would have closed parts of the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park were apparently a “misunderstanding,” reports the San Diego Union-Tribune. And a meeting on Wednesday, a crowd packed a public hearing to protest.
Limiting human contact with wilderness areas was part of new restrictions announced by the state parks folks in May, and retracted in June.
Little Blair Valley, part of the Joyride Guru Off the Grid Journey, might have been closed or had additional travel restrictions under the May proposal. Never mind.
