Wow… doing some updating on the old website and came across a review of a Saturn Sky from 2007.

From the Bob Lutz era at General Motors, the Sky, and its near-twins, the Pontiac Solstice, and in Europe, the Opel GT, were designed to get some excitement into the languishing Saturn and Pontiac showrooms.

Two-seat convertibles are halo cars — they bring in customers but not too many buy them — and the aggressive Lutz thought these cars would be just the ticket.

It just didn’t work out. It didn’t work out either for a French journalist on a press drive, who drove one off of Highway 78 between Wynola and Julian.

I didn’t have a similar experience, fortunately. I enjoyed the performance of the car, but not some of its designs. Check out my review. ⚙
