In the Los Angeles Times, auto writer Charles Fleming has taken a Bentley Continental GT Speed convertible on a drive that would make a great “Weekend Driver” if I had written it for the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Fleming’s cruise wound around Mulholland Drive, the eastern end of the route I took in my Mulholland, Malibu and Mountains drive on Amazon Kindle.

He points out all the sites, from the back of the Hollywood sign, to the mountain retreat of gangster Bugsy Siegel and Madonna, to the Skirball Cultural Center.

I know I enjoyed the story and will get around to this drive sometime in the future. I’m not sure I’ll be able to do it in a Bentley, but will give it a try.
