On the way to or from Julian a great stop was at the Manzanita Ranch store in Julian. Long gone (the building’s still a store), we’d pick up some cider, pie and apples for the trip home.
Check out the family cars in 1963… Pontiacs, a swell Dodge station wagon, a Rambler, Oldsmobile and a few others. The postcard doesn’t have a year, but it’s pretty easy to identify. First, all the cars have California’s black license plates, which were issued in 1963. And I don’t see any cars newer than 1963; I think that wagon on the left is a ’63, next to a ’61 sedan.
